Hydrocyclone cluster
Hydrocyclone is a fixed separator whose separation is based on centrifugal force. The slurry flow that enters the hydrocyclone tangentially is transferred to two parts, the bottom and the overflow. The main part of the bottom consists of solids or the part of coarse grains that is still suspended in some liquid, and the overflow is called the part that is mostly liquid or contains some very fine-grained solids. The hydrocyclone cluster is used where the input capacity is such that one hydrocyclone is not the answer, and groups of hydrocyclones must be used, which is called a hydrocyclone set, a hydrocyclone cluster, or a cluster hydrocyclone. The hydrocyclone cluster is installed on a device called a cluster. Usually, in the industry, hydrocyclones are used in parallel to ensure full capacity. In some cases, hydrocyclones are used in series when we want to have different granulations.
Advantages of hydrocyclone
Simple structure No moving parts Low investment and implementation cost Easy installation Efficiency of 80 to 90 percent Availability of parts Slurry (a mixture of water and solids) is first pumped into the tank through a pump with a suitable flow rate and technical specifications. This tank provides the right pressure and flow to enter the hydrocyclones. After pumping, the slurry enters the distributor tank. This tank is designed in such a way that the slurry flow is evenly distributed among all hydrocyclones of the cluster. The existence of points for measuring mechanical and electrical pressure and sampling of slurry in this tank helps to accurately control the process. Each hydrocyclone is connected to the distributor through a flange. One of the key points in this connection is the uniform distribution of slurry to the hydrocyclones so that they all operate under the same conditions.
In hydrocyclones, there are two outlets:
-Hydrocyclones overflow output: This output includes smaller particles that are discharged into the overflow tank or launder. - The sediment output of hydrocyclones: this output includes larger and higher density particles that are discharged into the sediment tank. Due to the passage of abrasive slurry, the cluster tanks require wear-resistant coatings. These covers usually include: - Wear-resistant natural rubber: Rubber is used for the inner lining of tanks due to its flexibility and high resistance to wear. -Ceramic coating: In cases where there is a need for greater wear resistance, industrial ceramics are used, which have a longer useful life.

Depending on the piping design, tank outlets can be from the bottom or side walls of the tanks. This design should be done according to the slurry transfer path and operational needs to ensure smooth and unblocked flow.
Choosing the type of hydrocyclone and its number requires special experience and expertise. Each hydrocyclone is designed for a separation limit and a specific capacity. After determining the type and number of hydrocyclone, cluster tanks are designed. Usually, after the initial design, the first version is sent to the employer to express his opinion. This step may be repeated several times to account for all items in terms of placement and piping. The hydrocyclone is the bottleneck of the processing plant, which means that its wrong choice can affect the entire circuit. Zarineh Industry Equipment Group, with a long history in processing factories and mastering the line, received basic process information from the esteemed employer and selected the best hydrocyclone with engineering calculations and years of experience in cluster construction and installation, and at the most appropriate time, the cluster delivered to the respected employer. To order the product, you just need to receive the questionnaire form from the experts of Zarineh Industrial Equipment, so that they can send you a technical and financial offer as soon as possible. The price of the product depends on the dimensions, number of clusters, etc. To know the pricing, complete the cluster questionnaire and get a price offer from our collection.
